Okay, so here's what's going on. How to convert torrent movies to Windows Movie Maker so I can do some editing? I have downloaded torrent movies through an application called "Vuze", and I would like to find a way to take clips of them and make videos through Windows Movie Maker.
First of all, let’s have a quick look at Torrent and Windows Movie Maker:
Torrent: Torrent movies are those files that are acquired through any of the numerous torrent applications, such as Vuze, uTorrent, BitTorrent, eMule, etc. A torrent download makes it easier to acquire large files as your computer downloads small pieces of the file from many users.
Windows Movie Maker: Windows Movie Maker is a video creating/editing software, included in Microsoft Windows Me, XP, and Vista. It contains features such as effects, transitions, titles/credits, audio track, timeline narration, and Auto Movie.
Indeed, Windows Movie Maker is a nice tool. And it’s free. However, Windows Movie Maker only supports a few video formats. If the torrent movies are in MP4, QuickTime MOV, MKV, TS (And more), you are not able to add these torrent movies to Windows Movie Maker. You can do this only if you convert torrent movies to WMV which is perfectly supported by Windows Movie Maker. What we use is a Video Converter which works great as a professional Torrent to WMV converter.
Click on Add button to find your torrent movies and add them to this Torrent to WMV Converter.
If you want to do some basic editing to your torrent movies, the video editing feature lets you customize your torrent videos as you wish.
As we said, WMV works perfectly with Windows Movie Maker, here we select WMV as the output format.
So you have done all the settings, now you can simply click on "Start" button to convert Torrent movies to WMV. Then the program starts converting.
Once the torrent movies are converted, you can easily transfer/add them to Windows Movie Maker for further editing and make your own movies. You can also use this Video Converter software to convert all those other videos to the format you want.
